The Salina Housing Authority (SHA) has been transitioning from a Public Housing Program (PH) to an Affordable Housing Program since 2018.  We have recently sold 43 homes to the local Community Housing Development Organization of Central Kansas (CHDO) and are transitioning those units into our Section 8 program.  SHA is in the process of completely closing out its Low Rent Program (PH) and will be transitioning all units into the Section 8 program and these units will be upgraded through renovation.

The Public Housing Waiting List has been permanently closed; applications are being received for the Section 8 program.
