The Shelter Plus Care (S+C) Program provides rental assistance in connection with supportive services.
The program assists chronically homeless individuals with disabilities and families who have a qualifying disability.
These recovering individuals primarily include those who are with serious mental illness, have had chronic problems with alcohol and/or drugs and individuals with HIV/AIDS or related diseases.
Applicants must be homeless at the time they are referred to the Salina Housing Authority by a case manager from a participating agency. Applicants must continue working with a participating agency for the duration they are on the program.
